Commentary

Pretend that Charlie Brown was pieced together from dead children by his father the mild-mannered, jogging mad scientist and instead of a cute little sister he has a dead zombie brother with no eyes, who can only say, "hhh."

That's not quite right.

Okay, pretend that that bully guy who always threatens L'il Archie is actually a psychopathic fat kid who terrorizes children right and left but somehow the adults never see it. And L'il Archie's friend L'il Jughead is a vampire. But he's only got one tooth. And he didn't kill those kindergarteners after all, that was their teacher.

That's not right either. I know:

Remember when you were a kid? Remember how much fun you and your best friend had talking about how many flavors you could handle in a "suicide" Slurpee? Remember your crowd? The kids you hung out with at recess and after school? The ones that would walk to the woods with you, the ones you built forts with, the ones you fought with on the way home - they were part of your crowd, too. Remember how it was when you were a kid of seven or eight? Okay, DON'T CALL ME STUPID is exactly like that, only, you know, one guy's a vampire and sometimes people's heads fall off. But other than that, it's exactly like you remember.
