Northwestern University Professor Bill Savage is such a fan of the series that he suggests in his formidable introduction that 100 BULLETS might actually "finish off" America's cultural bias against the comic book as a legitimate art form. Doc Savage [I know; I'm sorry] has more faith in the American public than your humble servant here, but yeah, it's that good.
