Listen. This is old-fashioned Brit-Comics. First there was Judge Dredd, for the kid who wanted horrible violence with black humour. And then the kid grew up a bit. But they still wanted their pyrotechnic guts and sick jokes. So there was JOHNNY NEMO, Mohawked shagmonster with a gun the size of a car and a brain like a tubful of boiling cats.
Johnny Nemo was a Real Man in a London that was half Fifth Element and half Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. He could throw his penis like a flaming javelin into a crowd of women and there'd be two hundred babies with his face there in the morning. He could kill you by fucking LOOKING AT YOU and when he wanted to drive his ordinary everyday psychosis into serious killing frenzy... he'd quit smoking. This was not a man who counted his daily cigarette consumption by the packet. He counted it by the lung transplant. He was a serious man who'd rip your nipples off just for looking at his pint.
And now that Cyberosia has put him back into print, I expect all these hippie comics the young folk like to just shrivel up in his awesome field of testosterone. Shut up.
