Stranger Kisses

Credits: Written by Warren Ellis and Illustrated by Mike Wolfer
Publisher: Avatar Press

I didn't think about tongue wombs before I read STRANGER KISSES. Actually, I didn't know about tongue wombs before I read STRANGER KISSES. But Warren Ellis did.

And he'd like to share.

William Gravel is a "combat magician", a semi-retired British special forces operator who knows a thing or two about the occult arts. He's brought to Los Angeles by an actor-wanna-be-politician looking to build a reputation for himself by exposing a snuff video racket. But when they view the merchandise - and the tongue wombs - they're in for a little bit more then they bargained for...

STRANGER KISSES is the follow-up to STRANGE KISS, but it's not a direct sequel and can be read before or after its predecessor. But this time around, artist Mike Wolfer really nails Ellis's trademark cinematic set-ups. (Notice the opening sequence in the park or the conversation with the neck womb woman in the third chapter.)

Make no mistake, though. STRANGER KISSES is intended to shock you. If you wear a pacemaker or are pregnant or have a general dispensation against abnormal orifices, then don't buy this book. Please. Walk away.

But I know you won't.
