The first time I saw THE STORY OF THE JEWS on the racks, I took one look at the title and four years of Hebrew school were jarred from the depths of my deepest nightmares. The second time I saw THE STORY OF THE JEWS on the racks, I summoned the strength to pick it up and flip it over. And that's where I found this quote from Simpsons creator Matt Groening:
"Funny and original, and it won't take 4,000 years to read."

Mixing the straightforward delivery of Walter Cronkite with the sharp wit of Monty Python, acclaimed New York Times cartoonist Stan Mack has crafted a surprisingly unique achievement in graphic storytelling. Free from political diatribes, this is the perfect introduction to Jewish history and Western religion - and it doesn't require any sort of scholarly background or prerequisite knowledge.
Except, perhaps, for a sense of humor.
