The air in his lungs is running out.
Escapo is in love with Aerobella, the beautiful trapeze artist. She's standing outside of the Water-Womb, watching and waiting, watching and waiting. She knows Escapo is taking too long. Aerobella watches and waits with the Acrobat King. Escapo is inside the Water-Womb and Aerobella watches and stands next to the Acrobat King.
Last night, Escapo and Aerobella talked. A white scarf meant yes and a black one meant no. Tonight, Aerobella's not wearing a scarf at all. She's not wearing a scarf at all and she's standing next to the Acrobat King. They're watching Escapo, inside the Water-Womb. They're watching Escapo take too long.
