Biography
Dean Haspiel is the author of super-psychedelic romances and semi-auto-bio comix who occasionally mangles franchise characters for Marvel & DC Comics. Dino was nominated for an Eisner for his 48pp native New Yorker collection, OPPOSABLE THUMBS, and an Ignatz for AIM TO DAZZLE, featuring post-disaster adventure chronicles of the last romantic anti-hero, BILLY DOGMA. Dino is currently drawing a LUNA MOTH story for Michael Chabon's Dark Horse anthology, THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF THE ESCAPIST. His major credits include BIZARRO COMICS, BATMAN ADVENTURES, and JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES for DC Comics. MUTIES, SPIDER-MANS TANGLED WEB, X-MEN UNLIMITED, CAPTAIN AMERICA: RED, WHITE & BLUE, and THE THING: NIGHT FALLS ON YANCY STREET for Marvel. And, Harvey Pekar's AMERICAN SPLENDOR.
